In the world of video games, designers and developers have gone far beyond the tired stereotype of a gamer huddled in a darkened room battling pixilated enemies. Online multi-player games, razor-sharp graphics and extended educational and social applications outside the game environment have split gaming myths wide open.

For PixelJunk Development Manager Shouichi Tominaga and his team, knocking apart stereotypes and myths was not enough. Their newest project, “The Tomorrow’s Children”, delves into applying Marxist ideologies to a virtual world where players are networked yet independent players. Q- Games sheds new light on the “gaming for entertainment”
model, offering us an alternate reality that at once mirrors and distorts our own.
